British Steel has joined forces with North Lincolnshire Council to help organisations focus on suicide awareness, prevention and mental wellbeing at work.

On 10th April 2026, from 9.30am to 4.30pm, Baton of Hope Workplace Pledge Training will run at the Scunthorpe Conference Centre.

Teams from other organisations can take part in a half-day suicide awareness and prevention workshop and a half-day mental health workshop.

Both are Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited, delivered face-to-face by an experienced trainer.

Farzana Khanum, Public Health Manager for Mental Health & Wellbeing & Suicide Prevention at North Lincolnshire Council, said: “This is a valuable opportunity to build confidence, skills, and compassionate responses within your teams, helping colleagues feel supported and able to talk openly about mental health and suicide prevention.”
