Ministry of Defence achieves renewed CIPD recognition for HR excellence

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) Civilian HR team has renewed its status as a CIPD People Development Partner (PDP).

The achievement reaffirms its commitment to developing a high-performing people team, underpinned by the CIPD’s professional standards and values.

Originally awarded PDP status in 2020, the team has demonstrated strong alignment with the CIPD Profession Map.

Ray Worrell, account director, UK Civil Service and Armed Forces, CIPD, said: “The MOD Civilian HR team demonstrates dedication to professional excellence in HR practice.

“Their ongoing commitment to CIPD standards and people development strengthens the profession, and we’re proud to continue supporting them as a People Development Partner.” 

These efforts form part of a broader strategy to build a more resilient and future-focused strategic HR function, underpinned by ongoing learning and professional development.  

As a renewed People Development Partner, MOD will continue investing in its HR team’s professional journey, including CIPD qualifications and apprenticeships, supporting senior leaders in achieving Chartered status, and continuing to embed professional standards at all levels of the organisation.
