Construction News (CN), Ground Engineering, and New Civil Engineer (NCE) have relaunched their Inspiring Women in Construction and Engineering (IWCE) event for 2025.

The programme will start with a free webinar on 7th March 2025, addressing the need for inclusive and safe workplaces in construction, focusing on issues such as sexual harassment driven by gender and power imbalances.

During the webinar, discussions will cover practical methods for cultural change, tackling industry-specific issues, and the crucial role of allies in enforcing accountability and challenging negative behaviours.

The event aims to share insights on how organisations in construction and engineering are transforming their cultures to ensure workplaces free from harassment.

Experts and industry leaders will offer actionable steps for meaningful change, ensuring workplace safety for all.

The panellists will address key questions, such as why addressing sexual harassment is a critical first step in creating safer, more inclusive workplaces.

They will also discuss what a positive workplace culture looks like and how allies can effectively support women in dealing with and reporting harassment.

Additionally, they will explore practical steps smaller businesses and supply chain partners can take to comply with the new legislation.
