A Gloucester-based bodyshop advisor has been named ‘Colleague of the Year’ in the Ancillary Business Division at the Vertu Masters Awards.

Shane Witts, who works at Vertu Accident Repair Centre Gloucester, received the award as part of the group’s annual awards programme recognising high-performing non-management colleagues across the business.

Now in its fifteenth year, the Vertu Masters Awards recognise achievements across the company, with more than 7,800 colleagues eligible for consideration.

Vertu said Witts had demonstrated resilience and professionalism over the past year while managing operational challenges and adapting to new ways of working within the business.

The company said he had continued to deliver high levels of customer service while independently managing a busy front-of-house operation, with strong customer feedback and recommendations reflecting his performance.

Witts said: “It is a real honour to receive this award. The past year has certainly brought its challenges, but I’ve always focused on doing the best I can for our customers and supporting the team wherever possible.

“I enjoy working in such a fast-paced environment and take pride in ensuring every customer has a positive experience with us. I am grateful for the recognition and excited to continue developing my career with the business.”

Robert Forrester, chief executive at Vertu, said: “Shane’s achievement is a fantastic example of the dedication and resilience we see across our business.

“He has shown remarkable commitment in the face of change, maintaining high standards and putting customers at the heart of everything he does.

“The Vertu Masters Awards recognise colleagues who truly make a difference, and Shane’s positive attitude, professionalism and determination to progress make him a very worthy winner.”
