Bupa has partnered with YuLife to launch a new health cash plan for businesses, aiming to improve workplace wellbeing and reduce absence.
The plan gives employees access to digital tools and healthcare support, allowing them to claim back costs for everyday healthcare like dental, optical, therapies, diagnostics and prescriptions.
It also offers online GP appointments, musculoskeletal support and a skin check tool, alongside Bupa’s employee assistance programme and a 24/7 nurse helpline.
Employers can choose from three tiers of cover, with a book-rated pricing model for more predictable long-term costs.
Real-time wellbeing insights are available through Yunity, YuLife’s analytics platform, helping employers identify trends and support healthier teams.
Early results show the YuLife platform has increased physical activity by 20%, reduced stress by 53% and cut absenteeism by 11.5%.
Dan Sullivan, director of product and proposition at Bupa UK Insurance, said: “Businesses are under growing pressure from rising levels of absence and poor workforce wellbeing.
“Employers are looking for solutions that not only support people when they become unwell, but help them stay healthy in the first place.
“Expanding access to healthcare is central to Bupa’s strategy.”
Sullivan added: “By bringing together high-quality care, preventive support and digital wellbeing services, we’re evolving to meet the changing needs of our customers and making healthcare accessible and affordable for more people.”
Josh Hart, co-founder and chief product officer at YuLife, said: “This Cash Plan is the all-in-one employee benefit, built for companies of every size and priced so more of them can offer it.
“Instead of absorbing the cost of people being off work, employers now have a Bupa x YuLife solution they can put in place today.”
