The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) revealed its first ever HR30 list on the opening day of the Festival of Work at Excel London.
The list recognises 30 senior HR professionals who have made a measurable impact in their organisations in the past year.
The panel of people leaders and HR experts selected the finalists from sectors including the NHS, financial services, tech and charities.
The list aims to highlight those who have led change and encouraged innovation in their workplaces.
The HR30 group will also have access to further development and networking opportunities within CIPD.
Peter Cheese, CEO at CIPD, said: “The HR professionals on our first ever HR30 list are truly championing the vital work our profession does, delivering significant value to their organisations and their people.
“As the world of work continues to evolve, the role and impact of the HR profession has never been more vital to organisations’ success.
“HR30 is about recognising outstanding leaders in our profession and showcasing their achievements, but it’s also a platform for professional development and networking.”
Cheese added: “We are delighted to recognise this influential group of HR leaders, and the learnings we can all take from them as they continue to deliver impactful people strategies in their organisations.”
