Sainsbury’s and Argos have started a recruitment drive to fill 19,000 temporary roles across the UK for the Christmas period.
There are 17,000 jobs available at Sainsbury’s and 2,000 at Argos.
Duties include shelf stacking, working on tills, and delivering orders to customers.
Existing staff have been trained to handle on-demand orders and to work flexibly across stores.
Sainsbury’s said this will help them meet customer needs during the busy season.
