Business Disability Forum, the business membership organisation in disability inclusion, has named the finalists for the Disability Smart Impact Awards 2026.

The awards recognise businesses and individuals putting disability inclusion plans into practice.

This year’s finalists include a range of HR and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) employers and professionals.

Entries covered areas such as changing recruitment to help deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people build sustainable careers, and introducing support frameworks for disabled colleagues.

Diane Lightfoot, CEO at Business Disability Forum, said: “Disability inclusion is an integral part of any credible workplace strategy.

“This year’s finalists are proving that meaningful change happens when organisations recognise the value that disabled people bring to the workplace.

“Our finalists show what’s possible when leaders commit to creating environments where disabled people can thrive.”

Lightfoot added: “We hope their achievements encourage even more businesses to accelerate their inclusion efforts.

“By championing accessible recruitment, flexible job design and inclusive leadership, this year’s finalists are not only transforming workplace cultures, but are also helping to strengthen the UK’s economic resilience.

“Through these projects, organisations benefit from greater creativity, problem solving and diversity of thought, which help to promote productivity and create an economy that is more reflective of the society it serves.”
