Amazon UK to hire over 15,000 seasonal workers for festive period

Amazon UK has revealed that it is hiring more than 15,000 seasonal workers across its receive centres, fulfilment centres, sortation centres and delivery stations for the festive season. 

Pay starts at £14.30 per hour and can rise to £15.30 per hour depending on location. 

From the first day, employees get private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection and a staff discount, worth over £700 each year. 

There is also a company pension plan.

Anil Verma, operations director at Amazon UK, said: “We’re excited to have more than 15,000 positions available for our seasonal colleagues who play an integral role in helping us deliver an exceptional experience for our customers. 

“We look forward to seeing seasonal colleagues who return year-after-year to Amazon, as well as welcoming new faces to the team.”
