Ciphr has launched a HR and payroll integration aimed at giving HR and payroll teams full control over their data flow.
The cloud-based system lets users work in real time in both HR and payroll, even at busy payroll times, without affecting pay run data.
The integration uses open application programming interface (API) technology and allows payroll admins to pause or resume data syncs when needed.
If payroll needs to make late changes, like updating pay or bank details, they can pause the sync, make the change, and resume with no data lost.
HR teams can update people data as needed, even after pay cut-off dates, without impacting payroll.
The system has selective data processing, audit reporting, compliance presets, and gives a consolidated view of people and pay data.
Julie Lally, managing director of payroll at Ciphr, said: “When we’ve shown HR and payroll teams the new integration, they’ve loved the level of control that we’ve given back to them.
“Our solution empowers both functions equally because they can continue working in real-time, in sync with each other. That’s the beauty of it.”
Lally added: “HR teams can maintain their live system unhindered by cut off dates or the need to wait for permission from payroll to make updates.”
“And payroll teams control the flow of data – so ad-hoc changes don’t mean a raft of extra manual admin input for them.
“It’s a real game-changer for helping HR and payroll teams work more closely together.
“We believe it’s the next generation of UK HR and payroll systems integration.”
Other features include 24/7 access, full customer support, intuitive navigation, and time and cost savings.
Sion Lewis, CEO of Ciphr, said: “Modern business demands better processes, better use of people data, and better-connected systems that help people to do their best work.
“The launch of Ciphr’s powerful, integrated HR and payroll system is a very exciting development.
“It’s an important investment in our product and customers, and highlights our continuing commitment to amplifying the pivotal role of HR and payroll professionals in delivering business success.”
Lewis added: “We spent time listening to our customers to fully understand their needs, their challenges, priorities and pain points.
“So we ensure we’re delivering innovation that the market will value, and that helps our HR and payroll customers work smarter, more efficiently, and stay compliant.
“Ciphr’s integrated solution ticks all the boxes. It’s been designed by HR and payroll professionals, for HR and payroll professionals, and it’s been very positively received.”
Simon Witkiss, chief product officer at Ciphr, said: “Making sure employees are paid accurately and on time is critical.
“HR and payroll teams often feel intense pressure to get pay runs right. Because when payroll doesn’t go smoothly, it causes frustration and more work for everyone.
“And it can be a point of friction between HR and payroll – particularly around data access and data flow.”
Witkiss added: “It’s something that we’re acutely aware of from our Customer Advisory Group research, and we’ve been actively looking to address with our new product developments.
“Ciphr’s new HR and payroll integration streamlines everything.
“It gives payroll teams control over data flow – they can turn the tap on and off and be selective about what they process – while allowing HR teams to continue to manage their system without any pauses to HR data processing.”
He said: “This reduces the possibility of errors and, ultimately, means both functions can work more efficiently together because neither is being held back by the other.
“Everyone’s happier and, based on our feedback, it’s a more delightful user experience all round.”
