Precept Recruit has officially launched in Derby to help businesses in the East Midlands and beyond find, hire and keep staff.

Dee Fletcher (pictured, right), who has worked in the region’s recruitment market for nearly 20 years, set up the company.

Precept Recruit is a sister business to Precept, which deals with employment law and HR, and both are backed by the Barron McCann group.

They operate from the group’s headquarters at the Meteor Centre in Derby.

Fletcher began her career at 18 with a recruitment agency in Ireland before moving on to consultant roles and then branch manager for a regional agency at 23.

She has worked at Adecco, Reed, and Key Personnel, co-founded Response Network Recruitment, and built the HR and marketing teams at Cherry Professional.

Fletcher said: “We’ve launched Precept Recruit to support businesses and help them attract the best people for their needs – especially at a time when finding talent is one of the biggest challenges facing growing businesses.

“Our goal is to combine genuine local insight with the professionalism and reach of a national consultancy.

“I’ve spent my career building relations and supporting companies to create high performing teams in this region.”

Fletcher added: “Precept Recruit brings that experience together with a simple promise: put service first, do the hard yards for clients and candidates and build partnerships that last.

“Launching with the Barron McCann group’s backing means we can scale thoughtfully while never compromising delivery.”

The consultancy will focus on the East Midlands but will also take on UK-wide roles, especially where specialist searches are needed.

Precept Recruit covers executive appointments, HR, marketing and communications, accountancy and finance, sales and account management, and IT and engineering.

For senior retained assignments, Precept Recruit offers a six-month replacement guarantee, which is double the usual 12-week period.

There is also a launch offer for early clients for the first six months.

Clients can also get HR, training and employment law support from Precept, with possible discounts when services are combined.

Rob Tice (pictured, left), HR director and co-owner at Precept, said: “We’ve known Dee for several years and seen firsthand the calibre of delivery.

“The East Midlands needs a recruitment partner that blends deep local networks with modern, data driven search and that’s exactly what Precept Recruit offers.”

Craig Watson, chief innovation officer at Barron McCann, said: “The addition of Precept Recruit further strengthens our professional service offering across our group and is the latest step in our growth strategy, enabling us to offer a broader and more diverse portfolio of services and solutions.”
