UK rental services provider Housing Hand has reported its busiest ever quarter, helping more renters than at any other time in its 12-year history.
Between July and September 2025, the company saw a 17.8% increase in renters completing its guarantor application process compared with the same period last year, and a rise of nearly 30% compared with 2023.
The business attributed the surge to growing reliance on guarantor services among renters and landlords, as financial pressures and proposed legislative changes increase the importance of secure tenancy arrangements.
The organisation said its continued investment in technology, alongside new support initiatives such as a virtual health and wellbeing service, has reinforced its position as a market leader in the rental support sector.
Jeremy Robinson, group founder and CEO of Housing Hand, said: “We’re seeing several factors driving both renters and landlords to seek the peace of mind that comes with using an insurance-backed rental guarantor service.
“The ripples created by the passage of the proposed Renters’ Rights Bill through parliament, on top of the general financial climate in the UK, mean that the reassurance of a guarantor has become a critical part of the rental transaction.
“The fact that Housing Hand has consistently settled 100% of all valid claims for well over a decade ensures we are the trusted market leader for anyone seeking a guarantor.”
In addition to its core guarantor offering, Housing Hand provides a range of services designed to simplify the rental process.
These include its House Finder network, the Depositless product which removes upfront payment barriers, and Only My Share, a service that reduces shared tenancy liabilities for renters on joint contracts.
Its newly launched virtual health and wellbeing service, offered free of charge to all customers and their dependents, provides unlimited access to physical and mental health support.
Dani Smith, sales manager at Housing Hand, said: “We are thrilled to have just had our busiest ever quarter, helping more renters than ever.
“It’s testament to the hard work and creative thinking that goes into running and developing Housing Hand’s services every day.
“But we’re not resting on our laurels – there’s plenty more that we plan to do to support accommodation providers and renters over the coming months and years as we continue to evolve and innovate.”
