Pinsent Masons and NELFT were among the top flexible and family-friendly employers revealed by Working Families.
Employers were scored on strategy and culture, policy, consistent practice, and evidence and statistics.
These areas looked at how flexible and family-friendly working was part of the organisation, how policies were created and used, and what effects they had.
The list included organisations from finance, energy, education and the public sector.
Pinsent Masons, the Welsh Parliament and Independent Living Fund Scotland kept their places in the top group, with Unilever joining the top 30 for the first time.
This year’s top 10 employers for working families were: Audit Wales, DAC Beachcroft, Grant Thornton, Hill Dickinson LLP, Imperial College London, Independent Living Fund Scotland, Mishcon de Reya, NELFT, Pinsent Masons and the Welsh Parliament.
Research found more than half (55%) of employers on the list offered paid leave for carers, with an average of just over a week.
Most (86%) looked at flexible working options before advertising roles.
86% of employers analysed vacancies for flexible options and 94% encouraged managers to work flexibly.
Over half gave more than the statutory minimum for carers leave, averaging 5.3 days.
82% planned to include flexible working options in all job adverts within a year and 80% provided these details on their websites.
Almost all (98%) offered support for wellbeing, while 78% said flexible working improved operational effectiveness.
Jane van Zyl, CEO at Working Families, said: “Once again, our Benchmark employers are showing what it looks like to make the vision of family-friendly and flexible working a reality.
“The Top Employers are sending a powerful message that, when you’re willing to do the work, it’s possible to truly innovate for the benefit of the business.
“With over half recognising the needs of carers by offering paid leave, they are showing that compassion can coexist with strategic business thinking.”
van Zyl added: “It’s inspiring to see how these employers are putting into action their understanding that cultural shifts start from the top, that wellbeing at work matters, and the value of transparent flexible options.
“These are the changes we need if we’re going to build a resilient, motivated and agile workforce that is fit for the challenges of the future.”
David Pollitt, managing partner at DAC Beachcroft, said: “Being recognised again as a top employer for working families means a great deal.
“It’s a powerful acknowledgement of the important work we’re doing to create a supportive and inclusive workplace.
“I’m immensely proud of the culture we continue to build – one that helps our colleagues thrive in all aspects of their lives.”
