ecmk has been selected as the training and accreditation partner for the Government’s Warm Homes Skills Programme.

The contract was awarded after a competitive bid process run by the Midlands Net Zero Hub on behalf of the UK Government.

The programme is set up to deliver training and help people develop skills as installers and retrofit professionals in the retrofit and energy efficiency sector.

ecmk will deliver ABBE-accredited training for those starting or upskilling in the domestic retrofit workforce.

Adam Casey, director at ecmk, said: “We are delighted to have been selected as a trusted delivery partner for the Warm Homes Skills Programme.

“This programme is about more than training — it’s about creating lasting change on the ground.

“We’re committed to raising industry standards and building a skilled workforce that can deliver high-quality, energy-efficient homes across the UK.”

The Warm Homes Skills Programme is part of the Government’s net zero strategy and aims to provide workers with skills and qualifications for retrofit work, including insulation, ventilation and whole-house retrofit planning.

ecmk will work with industry stakeholders to make sure training is accessible and meets workforce needs.

The programme is designed to help lower carbon emissions from homes, cut energy bills and create sustainable jobs, focusing on regions needing economic regeneration and green skills investment.

Casey added: “We believe that by embedding quality at the point of delivery, we can unlock the full potential of the UK’s retrofit sector.

“This is about setting a new standard — for training, for delivery, and for impact.”
