Weavr has teamed up with Visa to offer embedded Visa cards to HR tech platforms, making it easier for software-as-a-service (SaaS) providers to access the employee benefits market.

By working with Visa an associate member, Weavr will now allow SaaS companies to use Visa-powered financial products in their platforms, focusing first on employee benefits.

Weavr’s model brings together several financial partners into one platform, giving wide geographic coverage and a range of financial products through a single contract and single integration.

Visa’s addition means B2B SaaS platforms can now offer embedded solutions that include issuing different payment cards, budget tracking, and spend control in real time, all within the same user experience.

This move gives HR tech platforms a ready solution to offer benefits cards backed by Visa.

Employers can give staff personalised benefits without spreadsheets, receipts or delays.

Visa gains a scalable distribution model for B2B payments through SaaS providers worldwide.

Mark Wilcocks, vice president product and solutions at Visa UK & Ireland, said: “Embedded finance is fast becoming an important tool for businesses that want to deepen relationships with their customers.

“Weavr is paving the way for HR platforms to simply integrate these solutions, and we’re excited to enhance this offering with our Visa-powered products.”

Alex Mifsud, CEO and co-founder of Weavr, said: “Our membership with Visa signifies a shift in the deployment of embedded finance: it’s not just about adding payments, but about enabling entire propositions and business models in sectors like HR tech.

“By joining Visa, we can provide SaaS platforms with the confidence and capability to launch card-based employee benefits, supported by trusted infrastructure ready to scale.”
