Logistics and warehousing vacancies rose by 9% in Q2 2025 compared to Q1, according to figures from CV-Library.
There were 137,542 jobs posted in Q1 and 150,578 in Q2.
This pointed to strong demand for workers in infrastructure, delivery and fulfilment, despite a tough national jobs market.
The biggest growth was in roles offering £20,000 to £40,000, up 20% quarter-on-quarter.
Amazon’s £40bn investment in new fulfilment centres and delivery stations has added to long-term job opportunities.
In the top 10 most in-demand roles nationwide, nine out of 10 were for drivers.
Class 1 driver and HGV class 1 driver roles saw the biggest increases in advertised jobs, both up over 50% from Q1 to Q2.
Other roles with strong growth included class 2 driver (up 40%), HGV driver (up 27%), forklift driver (up 21%) and delivery driver (up 16%).
The average salary for these jobs ranged from £28,497 for forklift driver to £46,914 for HGV technician.
Warehouse operative roles continued to be the most advertised, with 7,142 jobs in Q1 and 7,512 in Q2.
Across the top 20 roles, average vacancy growth was 12% quarter-on-quarter.
Lee Biggins, CEO of CV-Library, said: “The UK labour market continues its downward trajectory, with the 35th consecutive quarterly fall in vacancies in the three months to May.
“While the overall picture is bleak, logistics and warehousing are bucking the trend – showing significant growth in a challenging economy.
“As consumer expectations shift toward instant delivery and digital convenience, the demand for drivers and warehouse workers is rising sharply.”
Biggins added: “What we’re experiencing is a transformation of the modern workforce, shaped by technology and infrastructure, in a bid to keep up with supply chains.
“For job seekers struggling to find employment, the logistics sector is a rare positive story.”
Hannah Goldstraw, senior recruitment consultant at Barrow Mount Recruitment, added: “We’re seeing the impact of this growth first-hand, particularly in driver recruitment.
“Demand has surged across Class 1 and Class 2 roles, and employers are moving quickly to secure talent. For candidates looking for stability and competitive pay, logistics continues to offer a compelling proposition.”
