Pendragon Vehicle Management has launched a salary sacrifice scheme for UK employers looking to enhance employee benefits and cut carbon emissions.
The scheme allows employees to access tax-efficient vehicles through their employer, with participating organisations already including The Royal Mint, A.F Blakemore, AVCO and Targa Telematics.
Backed by Lithia UK, which owns retail brands Stratstone and Evans Halshaw, Pendragon said the scheme includes a ‘Ready to Go’ car delivery service, enabling employees to get behind the wheel of their new vehicle in under a working week – a new benchmark for speed in the salary sacrifice market.
Additional benefits include a home wall charger supplied by Pod Point and a comprehensive Life Shield protection package, covering scenarios such as maternity leave, long-term sickness, resignation and redundancy.
Phil Wilbraham, managing director of Pendragon Vehicle Management, said: “We are fully focused on simplifying Salary Sacrifice for all parties and confident that our new offering will shake up the market.
“Our ability to offer employees a potential test drive at 150 Lithia UK retail sites, coupled with the chance to sell their current vehicles directly to Evans Halshaw or Stratstone, is an exciting and attractive proposition unlike anything else on the market.”
The scheme is led by commercial director David Jackson, who joined Pendragon from Octopus Electric Vehicles earlier this year.
He said the model is built to streamline the end-to-end experience for employers and employees alike.
Jackson said: “We’re uniquely positioned within the market, as our extensive retail network provides us with the capability to quickly deliver vehicles, creating a new industry standard for Salary Sacrifice.
“We handle vehicle sourcing, delivery and support along the whole journey.”
As part of the offer, Pendragon has also introduced an updated online portal, giving employees access to vehicle options, estimated delivery times, and a breakdown of financial and carbon-saving benefits.
Jackson said: “Our portal has been designed with both businesses and their colleagues in mind.
“It provides a centralised location for employees to choose their ideal vehicle while understanding the real-world savings and environmental gains.”
Pendragon Vehicle Management operates a fleet of more than 12,000 vehicles nationwide and has been supporting UK commercial clients for over 40 years.
