TSSA strikes at West Midlands Trains to proceed after pay row
TSSA said the action is happening because WMT and the Department for Transport failed to keep their promise to secure an improved rest day working agreement.

TSSA said the action is happening because WMT and the Department for Transport failed to keep their promise to secure an improved rest day working agreement.

The group has called for a pay rise to the real living wage rate of £12.60 an hour for all staff.

Hundreds of TSSA members will walk out on 18th July and 19th July 2025.

Workers in roles including dispatchers, allocators, airside agents and controllers at both airports turned down pay rises of around 4% to 4.25%.

The workforce now plans to strike from 27th to 31st May, and again on 5th and 11th June.

Strike action will now take place over a series of days including the 2nd, 6th, 9th, 12th, 16th, 19th, and 23rd of May.

The workers, who are on strike over pay, will also stage a demonstration outside OCS’ Feltham offices today.

An initial 24-hour strike action will take place on 28th March.

Around a dozen members will walk out after rejecting a pay offer from the employer.

In the opening phase of action at Scottish Water, Unite will hold a standby ban and a ban on contractual overtime over two consecutive weekends.

Paul Clarke, GMB Organiser, said: “These workers have fought hard to get the pay rise they deserve."

Sharon Graham, general secretary at Unite, said: “Despite its huge wealth, Ford has launched a direct attack on its office workers’ pay and terms and conditions."
