The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) will hold its annual conference and exhibition at Manchester Central on 5th to 6th November 2025.

The event will focus on practical ways for people professionals to address key workplace challenges.

Sessions will cover career development, employee experience, future skills and leadership, with topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), employment law, productivity and wellbeing.

Keynote speakers will include Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon, Professor Kevin Fong, Dr Sabrina Cohen-Hatton and Nick Robinson.

The event will also feature a free exhibition showing the latest HR, technology, learning and reward services.

Additionally, there will be a careers hub, employment law clinic, CIPD membership assessment support centre and roundtable discussions on the employment rights bill.

A new learning lab will provide live demonstrations and practical sessions to help professionals increase their skills.

CIPD said these initiatives are designed to support ongoing professional development.

Peter Cheese, CEO of the CIPD, said: “Our Annual Conference and Exhibition provides a terrific opportunity to gain new insights, network, grow professionally and learn new ways to boost performance, improve business outcomes and shape the future of the profession.

“As the political, business and technology landscapes rapidly evolve, organisations need people professionals who can drive meaningful change.

“Understanding how to navigate challenges and embrace opportunities around areas as diverse as AI, employment law changes, and health and wellbeing, is more important than ever.”

Cheese added: “Now in its 78th year, our flagship event provides people professionals with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive, and we look forward to welcoming delegates back to Manchester Central.”
