Abode recognised as a Great Place to Work across UK, Ireland and South Africa

Abode has been certified as a Great Place to Work in the UK, Ireland and South Africa, marking a significant milestone for the business and its people-focused culture.

The certification, achieved as part of Norcros plc, is valid for one year and recognises what the company describes as a strong family culture developed over the past two decades. Abode said the recognition reflects a business model built on inclusivity and the collective contribution of its workforce.

Abode has also held Investors In People accreditation since 2020, which the company said provides further evidence of effective people management, employee development and a positive workplace culture.

Since achieving the standard, the business has maintained its accreditation through two reassessments, alongside improvements to internal communications, staff policies, development schemes and management processes.

The company operates a structured training programme to support skills development and career progression, alongside initiatives including a confidential whistleblowing hotline, a staff suggestion scheme, free flu vaccination vouchers, access to life and wellbeing support and exclusive employee offers through its online trade portal.
