The finalists for the 2025 Menopause and Menstruation Friendly Employer Awards have been revealed, with a record number of entries submitted by organisations across the UK.

Now in their fourth year, the awards aim to highlight employers who are taking practical steps to normalise menopause and menstruation in the workplace.

This year’s shortlisted employers span a wide range of sectors – from banking and transport to local government, charities, the NHS and private industry – reflecting the growing recognition of women’s health as a workplace issue.

The awards, established by Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, are judged by an independent panel who assess evidence of organisations’ commitment to providing meaningful support and resources to staff. Categories include Most Open Culture, Best Trained Workforce, Best Engagement Campaign, Best Peer-to-Peer Support, and Employer of the Year.

For the first time, the winners will be announced at simultaneous daytime events in Nottingham, London and Liverpool on Wednesday 24th September, with the format also including keynote speakers, panel discussions and networking opportunities.

Deborah Garlick, CEO of Menopause Friendly by Henpicked, said: “This year’s awards have seen more entries than ever and an absolutely outstanding quality of work.

“The passion and determination of our members shines through their efforts while the impact of their work is genuinely life-changing for their colleagues and communities.”

The awards also raise funds for menopause and menstruation-related charities and research.

Since their inception, they have raised £190,000, with this year’s total expected to rise to £230,000.

Sponsors for 2025 include Peppy, Boots and No7 Beauty Company, British Airways, Mars, QVC, Standard Chartered, and Menopace by Vitabiotics.

The full shortlist features employers such as AtkinsRéalis, HSBC UK, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, Specsavers, London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, Santander, Alzheimer’s Society and The Huddersfield Town Association Football Club.

The winners of the 2025 Menopause and Menstruation Friendly Employer Awards will be revealed on 24th September.
