The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) has confirmed it will open applications for wholetime firefighter roles on 14th August.
Anyone interested has been encouraged to attend one of several upcoming engagement sessions.
Online sessions open to everyone will be held on 7th August, from 7pm to 8pm and 11th August, from 7pm to 8pm.
Both sessions will be delivered on Teams and aim to give an overview of the role and recruitment process.
A session for ethnic minority applicants is set for 9th August, from 11am to 3pm at Kilmarnock Community Fire Station, Campbell Street, Riccarton, Kilmarnock, KA1 4HL.
Sessions supporting women in firefighting will be held at three locations.
The first is on 9th August, from 12pm to 2pm at Bishopbriggs Community Fire Station, 51 Hilton Road, Glasgow, G64 3EL.
The second is on 10th August, from 12pm to 2.30pm at Falkirk Community Fire Station, Westfield, Falkirk, FK2 9AH.
The third will be on 10th August, from 1pm to 4pm at Perth Community Fire Station, Old High Street, Perth, PH1 1PL.
