Lovell partnered with mental health charity Signposted Cymru during Mental Health Awareness Week, arranging a talk on wellbeing for its construction team in Newport.

Signposted Cymru, led by founder Darren Thomas, gave a session to 60 employees and contractors on the Ringland Regeneration project.

Thomas said: “It was an honour to be invited to speak at the Ringland Regeneration project as part of Mental Health Awareness Week.

“The conversation around mental health is more important than ever, and Lovell’s commitment to supporting their workforce and the wider community is genuinely commendable.

“Their support of Signposted Cymru has helped us reach more people in need, and we’re incredibly grateful for their ongoing partnership.”

Signposted Cymru has also visited other Lovell developments and the head office in Cardiff, so staff across the business had access to support.

Gemma Clissett, regional partnerships director at Lovell, said: “At Lovell, we take positive mental health very seriously and are always finding ways to improve the support we offer.

“We care deeply about our employees and contractors, and hope they feel reassured knowing they can turn to our mental health first aiders, or any of the dedicated charities we work with, should they ever need to.

“We are very proud to have teamed up with Signposted Cymru this Mental Health Awareness Week and would like to thank Darren for speaking with our team.”

Clissett added: “Signposted Cymru is a charity very close to our hearts, and we are looking forward to working with them again in the future.”
