British Steel to recruit over 180 employees to boost production
Positions range from engineering and environment to chemistry, cleaning, legal, labouring, safety, and stores.
British Steel is set to recruit more than 180 new employees as it looks to ramp up production across its sites.
The company, overseen by the UK Government, has secured the necessary raw materials to keep both blast furnaces running and aims to increase iron and steel output in the coming months.
Most of the jobs, 165 in total, are based in Scunthorpe, with 17 more roles at Teesside and Skinningrove.
Positions range from engineering and environment to chemistry, cleaning, legal, labouring, safety, and stores.
There are also roles in welding, nursing, and customer services.
Additionally, British Steel is holding a recruitment open day on 17th May 2025 at its Scunthorpe Conference Centre on Brigg Road between 10am and 4pm.
Experts will be available to discuss the range of career opportunities and answer questions.
