The founder of HR Star, a Gloucestershire HR consultancy which is soon to celebrate its 10th anniversary, has been awarded ‘HR Professional of the Year’ at the 2025 HR Brilliance Awards.
Kelly Tucker (pictured), founder and managing director of Cheltenham-based HR Star, received the accolade at the 2025 HR Brilliance Awards, being acknowledged for her “innovative strategies” and “deep understanding of people.”
Kelly’s entry scored 90 out of 100, earning her the ‘Gold Award’.
Judges praised Kelly for her psychometric evaluations and tailored interventions, which led to a 20% increase in engagement and reduced turnover.
This was followed by Tucker being named ‘Best Businesswomen 2024’ at October’s Best Businesswomen Awards.
Tucker said: “I’m incredibly proud to be recognised among such inspiring HR professionals.
“At HR Star, we’re passionate about helping businesses put their people first, creating workplaces where employees feel valued and empowered.
“This award is a testament to the hard work of my team and the businesses we partner with, and I’m excited to continue driving positive change in the industry.
“Looking ahead to the rest of 2025, we’re thrilled about the opportunities to further our impact and work with even more organisations to make a difference.”
The HR Brilliance Awards celebrate excellence across the HR sector, recognising individuals, teams and organisations that drive innovation and positive change within the workplace.
