A study by Bookipi reveals experience with recommendation systems is the highest-paying AI skill in the US, offering $195,000 median salaries. Machine learning remains the most sought-after skill, appearing in 16,760 job listings with a median salary of $145,000.

A new study by invoice software company Bookipi has identified the most lucrative and sought-after Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills in the US job market. The analysis of 39,139 job listings on Glassdoor revealed that experience with recommendation systems is the highest-paying AI skill, with a median salary of $195,000 across 185 listings.

Jobs requiring expertise in Natural Language Understanding (NLU) followed, offering a median salary of $188,600, while proficiency in CUDA ranked third, with a median salary of $187,500. Other top-paying skills include model evaluation ($183,263) and MXNet ($183,000).

The research also highlighted the most sought-after AI skills, with machine learning topping the list, appearing in 16,760 job listings. Python followed with 11,657 listings, and data science was referenced in 8,369 postings. Median salaries for these roles were $145,000, $136,487, and $139,579, respectively.

While skills like C++ and SQL are highly demanded, appearing in 7,741 and 6,439 job ads, they offered slightly lower median salaries of $126,513 and $125,000.
