Acorn by Synergie’s Plymouth branch has been named Agency of the Year 2024 by Seetec Pluss, a social enterprise that collaborates with recruitment specialists to support job seekers across the UK. This award recognises the branch’s outstanding efforts in helping local people find employment and advance in their careers.

Seetec Pluss has partnered with Acorn by Synergie in Plymouth for the past three years, working together to empower thousands in the town and surrounding areas. This partnership has been instrumental in integrating job seekers into the workforce, particularly those from varied backgrounds and facing various challenges.

Gemma Fox, business manager at Seetec Pluss, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration: “I’m over the moon that Acorn by Synergie is our Agency of the Year, it’s incredibly well deserved. We have been working with Acorn for the last few years and it’s been such a positive experience.”

She added, “Acorn completely understands what we do, and their input is now like an extension of our team. Working with us enables Acorn by Synergie to fill their vacancies whilst also benefiting our customers who may not have had the confidence to make an application – long may the relationship continue!”

The partnership has also supported Seetec Pluss in delivering key initiatives in Plymouth, such as the Restart Scheme and the Work and Health Programme, which focus on building candidates’ confidence and professional potential.

Noel Hoare, director of operations at Acorn by Synergie, commented on the achievement: “This is fantastic news, and everyone at Acorn is thrilled. We have seen firsthand here at Acorn by Synergie what a difference the right support can make, and working with an organisation like Seetec Pluss is inspiring and allows us to do what we do best.”

Hoare also praised the efforts of the Plymouth team: “I’m so proud of our branch manager Xavier Ayling-Brasnell and the team at our Plymouth branch for their ongoing determination and support helping people to achieve brighter futures. Our Plymouth team constantly goes above and beyond to build partnerships to help overcome barriers to employment, and their focus on working to support their communities is relentless.”
