GTEC Training, part of United Infrastructure, has secured £978,840 from the Government’s Warm Homes scheme.
The money will go towards 40 retrofit qualifications, 410 solar PV training courses, and 770 online insulation training courses.
Each course combines practical and theory training, aimed at helping installers develop new skills and meet growing demand in the green energy sector.
The funding is set to help train the workforce needed to decarbonise homes and buildings across the UK.
GTEC Training has also received further Government funding to provide fully funded heat network training, designed to give more professionals the knowledge to install and maintain low-carbon heating systems in both domestic and commercial properties.
Griff Thomas, managing director at GTEC Training, said: “We’re proud to play a central role in building the UK’s low-carbon workforce.
“This funding enables us to train thousands of individuals in critical technologies, such as solar PV and insulation, while expanding into areas like heat networks.
“It’s about giving people the skills to succeed in a rapidly changing energy landscape, and helping the UK meet its climate goals.”
