The Pharmacists’ Defence Association (PDA) has called on pharmacists and trainees to fill in a Workplace Wellbeing and Culture survey to find out more about their experiences at work and what support they need.
This forms part of a five-year workforce wellbeing strategy launched earlier this year, aimed at helping pharmacists across the UK with mental health, financial resilience and overall wellbeing.
Internal wellbeing work included surveying staff and running online and in-person training.
PDA said its approach was data-led, responding to findings as they came up and adapting to new challenges with regular reviews.
The workplace wellbeing and culture survey will help identify the main obstacles that need tackling.
Pharmacists and trainees will have until 12th October 2025 to complete the survey.
Jay Badenhorst, director of pharmacy at PDA, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be launching our Workplace Wellbeing & Culture Survey.
“This marks a significant milestone for the PDA. It’s the result of tireless work from our dedicated team at the PDA and the invaluable collaboration with our partners.
“Together, we’re driving forward a vision that puts pharmacists at the heart of positive change.”
Danielle Hunt, CEO at Pharmacist Support, said: “Our partnership with the PDA is built on the shared values of inclusion, wellbeing, and helping pharmacists to thrive.
“So, it’s great to see the PDA investing in the wellbeing of its team and members.
“This survey will offer valuable insight into the wellbeing support needs of PDA members, which in turn will help both organisations shape and enhance the wellbeing support we provide in the future.”
