Hounslow Youth Council (HYC) has started a recruitment drive to get more young people involved in shaping projects across the borough.
HYC gives young people a chance to work on projects, workshops and events with the council and the wider community.
Work has included helping the transport team review school bus routes and working with the communications team on engagement and youth policy.
HYC also works with the Youth Parliament to represent the borough nationally.
Councillor Samia Chaudhary, Cabinet Member for Education, Children, Skills, and Employment at HYC, said: “Young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow, they are the change-makers of today.
“The Hounslow Youth Council is a powerful example of what can happen when we listen to young voices and empower them to deliver.
“I encourage the borough’s youth from all communities right across the borough to get involved, share their ideas, and help shape a Hounslow that truly reflects their hopes and ambitions.”
