Automobili Lamborghini has placed its workforce and inclusive culture at the centre of its first Sustainability Report.
The report, prepared on a voluntary basis and aligned with GRI and ESRS standards, offers a data-led account of the brand’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance for the 2024 calendar year.
With more than 70 indicators and a focus on internal culture, the report included a participatory process involving more than 50 employees and 100 cross-functional sessions.
Lamborghini’s said that its ESG strategy was formed with a commitment to employee wellbeing, personal development, and inclusive leadership.
A near-complete performance review system supports the continuous growth of individuals within an environment built on active listening, skill recognition, and tailored career progression.
The company’s signature ‘Feelosophy’ programme promotes a holistic view of organisational health, focusing on body, mind and purpose.
It brings together wellbeing and welfare initiatives, alongside a structured approach to health and safety.
The presence of women within the business – including in management roles – continues to grow, supported by training on unconscious bias, inclusive language, and cultural awareness.
Through involvement in schools, cultural partnerships and local initiatives, the company said it works to build meaningful ties in its home region of Sant’Agata Bolognese and beyond.
CEO Stephan Winkelmann said: “With this report, we aim to make visible what is already part of our daily way of working: the idea that innovation, performance and sustainability can coexist and mutually reinforce each other.
“This commitment stems from how we operate and extends to every area of our business.”
Lamborghini also reported strong progress across its environmental goals.
Its Sant’Agata Bolognese site has now been carbon neutral for 10 consecutive years, even as production has scaled and the workforce has tripled.
In 2024, self-generated energy rose by 22%, and the share of waste recovered increased by 15% year on year.
Total emissions, including Scope 1, 2, and 3, reached 851,132 t CO₂e – growing at a slower rate than output and revenue, reflecting improvements in energy efficiency and supply chain emissions management.
To support its long-term ESG ambitions, Lamborghini has embedded sustainability into strategic planning, compliance and risk frameworks.
A dedicated cross-functional team, established in 2021, oversees delivery and measurement of sustainability initiatives across every department.
Supplier responsibility is addressed via the S-Rating system, which assesses partners on ESG criteria to ensure alignment across the value chain.
The report also covered data protection, responsible taxation, and adherence to international governance standards.
