John Pye Auctions has been shortlisted for the People’s Choice Award at the National Family Business of the Year Awards 2025, a recognition driven entirely by public votes and reflecting strong support from customers and the wider community.

The awards, which celebrate the impact of family-run businesses across the UK, highlight organisations that have made a significant contribution to their industries and local economies. The People’s Choice Award is one of the most sought-after categories, representing a direct endorsement from the public.

Founded more than 50 years ago, John Pye has grown into one of the UK’s largest auction houses, with locations across England, Scotland, Wales and Spain. It auctions over 40,000 items a week ranging from vehicles and property to retail stock and luxury assets.

Commenting on the nomination, the team at John Pye said: “We’re thrilled to be shortlisted for an award that comes directly from the people we work with and serve. This recognition shows that our commitment to innovation, service and transparency is making a real difference.”

Now a digital-first operation, John Pye has transformed its offering through online platforms and technology, aiming to make auctions more accessible and efficient. Its family-owned status remains central to the brand’s identity, which it says has helped foster long-standing relationships with clients and customers.

Voting for the People’s Choice Award closes on 30th April.
