A study by Uber for Business and Stride Rides found perks helped businesses keep staff and attract new hires in 2026.
A quarter of workers said expanded perks like free meals, meal vouchers and discounts mattered when deciding on a job.
Millions of workers were likely to look for new jobs in January.
Employers offering the right perks could keep staff loyal and motivated for the new year.
Perks also encouraged people to work from the office more.
43% said expanded perks would get them back, with 38% preferring commuter benefits, where travel to and from work was subsidised.
In-office meals were valued, but many wanted more choice.
85% said their lunches were provided by catering, though 47% would rather choose which outlet their food came from.
Andrew Laughlan, head of enterprise UK at Uber for Business, said: “In the new year, a lot of people start questioning whether their job is offering them what they need.
“While pay and flexibility are top priorities for most, the perk package can be an important differentiator.
“If people are required to work outside standard hours, support with the journey to and from their workplace can make a huge difference.”
Laughlan added: “And if you’re working into the evening, sometimes the traditional pizza just isn’t going to cut it.
“Employees want choice – and the companies that offer it will be in the best position to have their own choice of employee.”
