Marvin OnumonuMid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has appointed Alfredo Thompson as chief people officer (CPO).
Thompson joins from Royal United Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Bath, where he held the same role.
He brings experience in strategic HR leadership and organisational development, shaped by frontline NHS work.
Thompson’s background in organisational design, workforce development, and multi-provider collaboration is expected to support people and culture within the Trust during this investment in local healthcare.
Ian Moston, CEO at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Alfredo brings energy, insight and a genuine passion for supporting people.
“His experience makes him an excellent addition to our leadership team, and I know colleagues across the Trust and wider health and care system will join me in giving him a very warm welcome when he arrives.”
Thompson will join Mid Cheshire Hospitals in January 2026.
