jmarchitects has announced its move to become employee-owned, across all of its studios nationwide.

All 100 staff across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and London now own the business following a move to an employee ownership trust.

The firm confirmed that the transition will not affect clients, and that it will continue to focus on staff retention and development.

Brian Thomson, managing director, described the news as an “ideal opportunity” to develop the firm’s exisiting leadership team.

He said: “We see this as an ideal opportunity to develop our leadership team and reward all our extraordinary staff while continuing to deliver excellence in architectural services for our clients and produce the very best spaces and places which inspire and delight.”
