Carrow Insurance has launched a new range of accident and health (A&H) covers in the UK, aimed at employers and affinity groups.

The specialist managing general agent (MGA) has introduced products for corporate personal accident and business travel, group personal accident, and tailored corporate illness benefits.

The cover is backed by Mission, with capacity up to £3m per individual, £25m per event and £10m for medical expenses.

Paul Greenleaf, senior accident and health underwriter at Carrow Insurance, said: “Workplace illness and injury continue to represent one of the most material risks for UK employers.

“The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) estimates the annual cost of workplace injury and ill-health at more than £20 billion, with lost productivity and sickness absence placing an increasing burden on businesses.

“On average, UK firms lose 17 working days per case of illness and 9 working days per injury.”

Greenleaf added: “Coupled with lengthening NHS waiting lists, these figures highlight the urgent need for employers to put effective protection in place.

“Our corporate Personal Accident & Business Travel solutions demonstrate a company’s commitment to employee protection by covering accidents whether they occur at work, at home, or while travelling on business.”

Greenleaf said the products were designed to help business continuity and reduce disruption from accidental death, injury or travel delays.

He said: “Unlike employers’ liability, A&H cover operates on a no-blame basis, meaning negligence does not need to be established before benefits are paid.

“This enables faster payments to employees or the business, reducing financial stress at a critical time.”

Group personal accident policies include access to support services such as counselling, debt management, childcare, disability and illness support, bereavement, elder care, bullying and harassment advice, and mental health resources.

Carrow stated that the products can be tailored to different sectors, workforce profiles and risk exposure.

Ronan Conboy, CEO of Carrow, said: “Our model is built to give brokers speed, clarity, and confidence. We want to help them with solutions that employers will value and trust.

“Healthy employees are the foundation of healthy businesses, and ensuring more UK companies can access A&H cover not only protects their people but also strengthens recruitment, retention, and operational resilience.”
