Burton Albion has appointed Harrison Modeste as head of player recruitment and insights, reporting to sporting director Richard Dorman.

Modeste previously worked as a recruitment analyst at Barnsley from 2021 to 2024 and spent the last year as lead recruitment analyst at Turkish Super Lig side Göztepe SK.

Modeste said: “I’m really excited to get started, I’ve followed the team closely since the beginning of the season and I look forward to working closely with Richard and Gary [Bowyer] to help stabilise the club in League One.

“In the short term, it’s really important that we get a good look at players from the EFL and other domestic divisions who can come in and make an impact in January to help Gary strengthen the squad.

“Looking to the longer term, my job will be to find players with strong resell value who will come to Burton Albion to develop before taking the next step in their career. Much like Rumarn Burrell last season.”

Dorman said: “We’re delighted to welcome Harrison to Burton Albion as he takes charge of our recruitment department.

“His experience across the EFL, combined with his global talent identification expertise, makes him an outstanding addition to our existing team and network.

“Our ambition is to build a strong football structure, led by exceptional people in every department.”

Dorman added: “The staff appointments we’ve made this season represent important steps toward creating a sustainable and progressive football club.”
