Mileway completed its 2025 UK summer internship programme with The Brokerage, the social mobility charity, as part of an ongoing partnership started in 2022.
The initiative aimed to support young people from less-advantaged backgrounds, offering ten-week placements in Mileway offices across Cardiff, London, Warrington and Birmingham.
Interns were given insight into commercial real estate and roles in the industry.
Andrew Jones, managing director UK & Ireland at Mileway, said: “Inclusion isn’t just the right thing to do – it’s essential to building stronger teams and a better industry.
“I’m proud of our partnership with The Brokerage and inspired by the talent we welcomed this summer. Their impact was immediate, and their potential is limitless.
“I’m excited to see how we continue to grow this important work across the UK.”
Mileway staff also attended recruitment fairs and ran seminars for The Brokerage’s network, sharing details on real estate careers and developing skills for the sector.
Interns spoke about their placements.
Daniel Diver, a student at the University of Liverpool, said: “This mentorship is an amazing opportunity to progress my professional career and gain insight into a totally new industry by working with people who are the best in their field.”
Anna Varghese, from the London School of Economics and Political Science, said: “I’m gaining genuine insight into the world of last mile logistics real estate – an industry I hadn’t imagined myself fitting into before.
