Grimsby Town Football Club appoints player recruitment lead

Grimsby Town Football Club has appointed Alex Hughes as player recruitment lead. 

Hughes joins after a spell at Morecambe and will now work as part of head coach David Artell’s backroom team.

Artell said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Alex to our Football Club.

“We carried out a rigorous recruitment process with over 100 candidates and Alex was the standout applicant. 

“His experience and knowledge in player negotiations along with his background and pedigree from his previous clubs really made him an outstanding choice. 

“I’m excited to work with him as we look to continue to develop our recruitment process and improve the talent on the pitch.”
