Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Futures has partnered with Altair Ltd to launch a survey to find out what young people in social housing think about their jobs, challenges and plans for the future.
The survey will look at job satisfaction, career development, sector challenges, diversity and inclusion, and what young workers want to see in the years ahead.
The research aims to find out how young professionals feel about their roles and what changes they want to see.
After the survey, there will be focus groups to gather more details and personal stories.
The results are set to be published in autumn 2025 in a report for organisations, policymakers and sector leaders.
CIH Futures and Altair Ltd are asking housing employers to encourage young staff to take part when the survey opens.
By promoting the survey internally and making time for participation, employers can help make sure young people’s views shape the sector’s future.
The survey is an opportunity for young professionals to reflect on their careers and hopes for the future.
Employers, managers and HR leads can support the project by sharing the survey and encouraging staff to get involved.
