Womble Bond Dickinson celebrates charitable impact in new report

Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) published its ‘UK Responsible Business’ report, tracking its progress on sustainability, inclusion and community support. 

Figures showed that over 1,600 hours were used to support UK charities through employee volunteering in the last year. 

The also report set out a 29.7% reduction in office footprint in London after refurbishments and noted that 85% of staff took a wellbeing day, up from 58% last year. 

The firm also marked its second year celebrating Muslim Heritage month, saying it was the first law firm to do so. 

The firm also introduced a new social value reporting platform to track efforts across apprenticeship schemes, carbon emission reductions, wellbeing, charitable giving, community volunteering and pro bono work. 

Additionally, The WBD Foundation grant scheme was started, with funding given to projects covering climate action, diversity and inclusion, and mental health and wellbeing.
