Students worked with grassroots clubs, charities, governing bodies, schools, local authorities and at major sporting events, using their skills and knowledge in real settings.
The 100 Million Hour Movement aims to double employee volunteering hours from 50 million to 100 million by the end of 2028.
The fair set up by the DWP (Jobcentre Plus) with Tendring4Growth, Tendring District Council’s (TDC’s) economic development initiative, was held in Jaywick Sands.

The Royal Voluntary Service survey found that nearly two-fifths of those offering employee volunteering opportunities directed their efforts toward environmental activity.
The platform, developed by Royal Voluntary Service, aims to make volunteering easier and more flexible, helping charities find the volunteers they need.
Staff have pledged to help with projects such as educating students, parents and teachers on online safety.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the Guide Dogs team where volunteering, donating, and recruitment opportunities will be discussed.
The research, commissioned by national charity Royal Voluntary Service, estimated that each employee in professional or managerial roles could contribute an extra £5,239 in productivity every year.

This week, council staff will tidy district and local centres, parks, and greenspaces, while removing illegal graffiti and collecting waste.
