Insights, a global provider of workplace learning and development solutions, has launched the Insights Discovery application programming interface (API), enabling organisations to embed its personality profiling tools directly into their own platforms.

The API aims to support self-awareness, improve communication, and deliver personalised employee and customer experiences.

The Insights Discovery model, based on four colour preferences rooted in psychology, has been used by over ten million people globally over the past 32 years.

The API will allow HR teams and business leaders to integrate personality data into their existing systems to support employee development and team dynamics.

Ross Esplin, product and innovation director at Insights, said: “Organisations are seeking smarter ways to help their people perform at their best and drive meaningful business outcomes.

The Insights Discovery API delivers the transformative power of our leading personality model directly into the hands of those tackling today’s most urgent workplace challenges.

“We want to create a world where people truly understand themselves and others, and are inspired to make a positive difference in everything they do.

“As work becomes more digital and learning happens in the moment, our API – developed in collaboration with workforce software experts – helps us fulfil both our purpose and the evolving needs of the modern workplace.”

The API was designed to address key HR challenges such as employee engagement, retention, and communication.

It provides employees with personalised insights into their strengths and development areas, supports more effective team communication, and gives leaders access to workforce personality data to inform management strategies.

Esplin added: “The API is designed to be easy for developers to integrate into existing systems.

“We provide clear documentation, practical demonstrations, workshops, and a test environment to help developers quickly create customised solutions.

“Early feedback from partners has already highlighted rapid integration and immediate value for users.”
