Broadstone has expanded its employee benefits consulting division with the appointments of James Sayer as a senior risk and healthcare consultant and James Lang as a risk and healthcare principal.
The hires responded to significant growth within the firm and aim to enhance services for clients navigating an evolving employee benefits landscape.
Sayer joins Broadstone with over 16 years of experience in health and risk benefit consulting.
Previously, he worked at Gallagher for six years, where he advised on complex health and risk benefit schemes.
Sayer said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Broadstone at such a dynamic time for the industry. The employee benefits landscape is evolving rapidly, with businesses needing tailored and resilient strategies.
“I look forward to supporting Broadstone’s clients as they navigate these changes and build long-term, sustainable solutions for their workforces.”
Lang came from Secondsight, where he managed a diverse client portfolio.
He has held senior roles at Aon, Mercer, and Gallagher, with expertise in group risk, healthcare, and flexible benefits.
Lang said, “Broadstone’s approach to providing bespoke, innovative solutions aligns with my passion for driving impactful change in the benefits space.
“I’m excited to leverage my experience across UK and international markets to help clients strengthen their health and protection programmes.”
Brett Hill, head of health and protection at Broadstone, said: “As the employee benefits market continues to grow, driven by changing business needs and workforce expectations since the pandemic, we are committed to investing in our Employee Benefits consulting and client support teams, to ensure we are well positioned to meet this rising demand.”
