Broadstone warned that rumours about changes to tax-free cash, pension tax relief and other retirement incentives could prompt savers to make unnecessary changes to their retirement arrangements.
The growth-focused scheme’s funding level fell by 0.2%, while the matching-focused scheme fell by 0.6%, from 89.8% to 89.2%.
Its DB Redress Tracker showed an estimated average gain of around £65,000 for consumers, up from £59,000 in the third quarter.

The service will help unions manage their pension arrangements, represent members and respond to changes in the UK pensions market.
The platform includes benefits information, financial education, targeted employee calls to action, access to voluntary benefits, a shopping discount portal and a wellbeing calendar.

The median male employee contributed £4,430 to their workplace pension in 2025, £310 more than the £4,120 contributed by the median female employee.
