Following successful negotiations with Unite, the UK’s principal union, easyJet cabin crew members are set to receive a 20% increase in basic pay by 1 May 2025. The 18-month agreement also includes a 3% increase in variable pay for the crew.

Sharon Graham, Unite’s general secretary, expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating: “When we work together, we win. Unite is steadfast in its mission to secure better pay, jobs and conditions and it is excellent that our hard-working members at easyJet receive a historic pay increase due to Unite.”

The salary structure for cabin crew often varies depending on routes flown and base location, with variable pay awarded per flight segment. The agreement will also bring a one-time payment of £2,000 for cabin managers and probationary cabin managers, and £1,500 for cabin crew flight attendants.

Moreover, Unite has secured policy changes at easyJet, including compensation for cabin crew when services are disrupted. Crew members will now receive £15 for delays over an hour, with this payment doubling if the delay surpasses 120 minutes.

Lindsey Olliver, regional officer at Unite, credited the union’s collective strength and effective negotiation for achieving the significant pay rise, remarking, “Cabin crew are an integral part of easyJet’s operations, and this deal recognises their value.”
