Marvin Onumonujobmate has launched ‘jobmate planner’, a cloud-based scheduling tool to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and field operatives manage field service work.
The system allows users to schedule and reallocate jobs quickly using a drag-and-drop interface.
The new planner was designed to tackle common issues for smaller businesses, such as last-minute cancellations, urgent call-outs, and matching operatives with the right skills and certification.
The technology aims to reduce lost time and minimise the risk of dissatisfied clients caused by manual or outdated planning.
One example given by jobmate is in the tail lift maintenance sector, where engineers are often sent out at short notice.
The planner checks engineer availability, skills, certification, and parts, so jobs can be updated or reassigned instantly.
The system runs as a progressive web app and works across smartphones, tablets, and desktops.
jobmate said this makes it possible for teams to manage schedules from any location and keep data up to date.
jobmate planner links with jobmate pro, another cloud-based tool for field service management.
jobmate pro offers digital timesheets, automated reminders for expiring certifications, and inventory tracking.
