The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) has chosen Unily to provide a new employee experience platform.
The move will see Unily’s system replace both RNIB’s SharePoint intranet and Workplace by Facebook, with the aim of creating a single, accessible digital workplace for its 1,093 staff and 2,223 volunteers.
Unily’s platform will act as a central hub, bringing together newsfeeds, announcements and social tools, as well as integrating with Microsoft Viva Engage, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
Linda Rogers, chief technology officer at RNIB, said: “RNIB is dedicated to building an inclusive digital workspace that’s accessible for all our colleagues.
“Unily’s platform will streamline our tools and resources, replacing disparate systems with an integrated, accessible solution that supports collaboration and empowers our teams to perform at their best.”
The platform will be available on mobile devices as well as desktop, with a responsive design for remote workers.
It includes features for managing business-wide and team-specific communications, policy documents and procedural guides, plus reporting and analytics for monitoring use.
Lokdeep Singh, CEO at Unily, said: “Unily is honored to collaborate with RNIB to create a digital workplace that champions accessibility and unifies their systems for enhanced performance.
“Replacing both SharePoint and Workplace by Facebook with a centralized platform reflects RNIB’s forward-thinking approach to delivering an exceptional employee experience.”
The partnership is part of RNIB’s strategy to provide an inclusive work environment for all employees, including those with sight loss.
