TUI has launched a Cabin Crew Apprenticeship programme, starting in March 2026.
This follows recent changes to Government rules allowing a shorter apprenticeship model.
The scheme is open to up to 16 external candidates aged 18 or over, who meet standard cabin crew qualifications and pass all checks.
Apprentices will start with induction and cabin crew training, then move on to flying duties from May to October, with time set aside for formal training.
Marsha Myles, emerging talent and apprenticeship manager at TUI UK&I, said: “Securing a shorter apprenticeship is a game-changer – not just for TUI, but for the future of aviation.
“This breakthrough means we can offer young people a faster, more accessible route into a career that’s exciting, global, and full of opportunity.
“It’s about opening doors, building confidence, and creating real pathways into the skies.”
The Level 3 apprenticeship is equal to two A Levels and aims to widen access to cabin crew jobs, supporting TUI’s focus on diversity and inclusion.
TUI said it plans to expand the apprenticeship in the future as business needs grow.
Aviation Minister Keir Mather said: “This first-of-its-kind aviation apprenticeship scheme marks a major step forward in building a highly skilled, future-ready workforce.
“Thanks to our new regulations reducing the minimum training period, we’re unlocking faster, more flexible routes into aviation, backing an expanding sector without compromising on quality, and offering young people better opportunities to help deliver our Plan for Change.”
Graduates will be eligible to apply for cabin crew roles through TUI’s standard recruitment, though permanent jobs are not guaranteed.
Applications open on 22nd October.
