Allianz UK has announced a series of changes to its executive leadership team, including new appointments across key roles.

Suzanne Scott has been appointed as chief people and culture officer, replacing Julie Harrison, who has decided to leave after holding the role since 2020.

Scott was formerly chief people and corporate responsibility officer for Axa UK and Ireland.

Ulf Lange has been appointed as managing director of personal lines, moving from his previous role as chief financial officer.

Lange will take up the new position on 1st December.

Michael Ruf joins from Allianz SE in Munich and will become chief financial officer, also starting on 1st December.

Ruf has worked in finance roles for more than a decade.

David Kelly will join as chief audit officer in the new year, coming from Brit Insurance.

Kelly takes over from Matt Cox, who became chief claims officer in January.

All roles are subject to regulatory approval.

Colm Holmes, CEO at Allianz UK, said: “I’m delighted to announce these senior appointments.

“These are positive moves for the individuals involved as well as for Allianz UK.

“They act as a reminder of the strength of talent we can attract and of the global development opportunities that we can access as part of Allianz Group.”

Colm added: “Ulf’s experience as our chief financial officer since 2023 means he has a deep knowledge and understanding of our business, the UK market and good relationships with our distribution partners.

“With his strength as a leader, he’s well placed to lead our personal lines business through its exciting next phase of development, as well as maintaining profitability for sustainable growth.

“I’d like to thank Serge and Julie for the work they have done to set up Allianz UK for future success.”

He said: “Lastly, I’d like to welcome Michael, Suzanne, and David, to Allianz UK.

“I’m excited by this next chapter and feel confident we have a strong leadership team with a clear strategy for what we want to achieve together as we get fit for the future.”
